Ash and Cross

Service:  7:30 pm Ash Wednesday Service

Preacher:  Revd Dennis Cavaghan

The ash can represent …

  • distress
  • earnest prayer
  • remorse and repentance

The ash is from the cross of Jesus which can meet us in all situations.

With God – No prayer unanswered is – If He say “Yes”, tis well – or if He answer “Wait” – rest suppliant at His gate.

He never answers “No”- but that in time – some richer, fuller gift is thine.

Transfiguration – A Moment In Time

Service:  6:30 pm Holy Communion

Preacher:  Revd Dennis Cavaghan

Readings:  2 Peter 1:16-21 & Matthew 17: 1-9

A moment in time when Jesus was seen and heard to be both the Son of God and the Saviour of the world.

Not a moment to be bottled and kept, but one to remember and draw strength and inspiration from.

Have you tried to bottle and keep your moments in time?
