We have much to look forward to. Please see the diary at the back of the Today sheet, our weekly newsletter. We pray for all who will come through the church door. Those who know their need of God and those who do not as yet.
On Saturday 13th July, Taunton Choral Society round off their 2018/19 season of Italian Masters on Saturday with Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle.
Do remember there is no Evensong next Sunday 14th July but all are invited to the Choral Evensong at 6.30pm at St Nicolas Church in Corfe.
Then on the 21st July there is our Patronal Festival. The Revd Preb Stephen Lynas will lead the service in which the beautiful Cross above the pulpit – made of metal and shaped to symbolise both suffering and resurrection – will be blessed. And we have a new Vicar – much to celebrate! Sandra Hall is catering for the lunch which will take place after the service. To assist we will need to know numbers. Tickets are £6 each and are available from either Sandra or the bookshop.
Finally, also on the 21st July, there is the contemporary 45-minute Worship@5 service where Revd Dennis Cavaghan will be leading on the theme ‘Why bow the knee?’ Why would someone give up his freedom to become a servant of God. And why should kneeling be part of our worship? It begins with coffee served from 4.30pm and you’re welcome to come early to have a drink and a chat.
