Our lighting project is almost finished. Most of the lights are now in place and the old system has been removed. The memorial in honour of Robert Gray has been specially lit.
The new system works differently too. Rather than switching on individual lights, the lights are programmed to setting buttons. This means that one button will be pressed for winter lighting another for the summer. If we need to light just the coffee area then another button is pressed and so on. Up to 40 settings can be pre-programmed. There are now two control boxes so the lights can be switched off in the tower area and near the Magdalene Centre. Clearly, the control boxes should not be touched unless you have authority to do so. Next week final adjustments and the programme setting will be completed.
