Last Sunday was Easter Sunday, the most important day in the Christian calendar and we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ in style. The church was filled with beautiful lilies and I would like to thank all who contributed to this from those who gave donations in memory of loved ones to the skill flower team who excite our imaginations with their creative work. At the 10am service the Calvary cross was transformed to a resurrection cross by weaving freshly cut flowers though a wire mesh. The effect was stunning. The choir led us in a beautiful anthem and my Easter sermon is available on the church website, if you missed it. We were all in good voice when we sang “Thine Be the Glory” at the end and the trumpeter lifted up our worship to new heights. It was a day to remember.
