Angel Doors Reopening

PRESS RELEASE – Angel Doors Reopening

Taunton’s largest town centre church is to reopen its doors after 3 months of lockdown.  St Mary Magdalene’s Taunton is intending to open its doors from this coming Monday (22nd of June).  Initially the plan is to open for two hours between 10am and noon on Monday’s, Wednesdays and Fridays.  This will be for individual and private prayer. There will be an opportunity to light a candle.

The Revd. Tobie Osmond,  Vicar St Mary Magdalene and St John’s Taunton, says: “We will be following strict social distancing rules and to ensure that we can keep the building safe and clean we will only be using the central part of the church.  If necessary we may have to restrict the number of people that can be in the building at any one time.”

There will be hand sanitisers at the entrance which will need to be used and face masks if people want to use them.

Tobie adds “After nearly three months of the doors being closed, we are really looking forward to our engraved Angel Doors being open again so that we can welcome people.”
