Started on the 23rd June 2013 the ‘Use your Talents’ to raise money for the Organ Restoration Fund has been a resounding success.
£210 was given out with an amazing return of £3,843.62. Put another way: 21 – £10 notes were given out and 384 – £10 notes (+ £3.62) were returned.
Thanks to all who rose to the challenge and had fun while helping the fund!
Well done Mick and Di Polley for organising this!
We are delighted to give out today the new Church Family Worship booklets. Not only has the booklet been given a fresh new look, the Baptism service has been included in it, so there is one less card to worry about.
Sheila has done a lot of work on this and we thank her for all her efforts.
This is the last Sunday that the crib scene will be on display.

Last week we began to discuss two new projects. Here’s an update.
On Wednesday 29th January, the Social Team met and were brimming full of ideas to provide social activities for the congregation. These ideas are being compiled and on the last Sunday in February and first Sunday of March we will be inviting members of the congregation to select the type of activities they may be interested in. We will then plan a varied programme for the rest of the year. Exciting!
A group of us met on Tuesday 28th January to consider introducing a time when those who enjoy informal worship could lift praises to God. The group decided to meet again and we will be exploring and praying about the way God is leading us. If you would welcome a time of more informal worship, we would love to hear from you. Do see Rod.

Please speak to Rod if you are interested in going.

The Archbishop of Wales, Barry Morgan and his wife Hilary, will be coming to visit us at 10.00 am on March 9th.
This will be the first time an Archbishop has been to St. Mary Magdalene and we are delighted that he has agreed to come.
It will be a service of celebration and afterwards coffee and Welsh cakes (made by our MU) will be served. We will then enjoy a bring and share lunch together.
If you would like to join the social group and help organise social activities for church members to enjoy, please come to the Vicarage on Wednesday 29th January at 7.30pm. We would love to see you there.
