Prayer Vine

If you have anything that you would like prayer for, then let the ‘Prayer Vine’ know.

We are a small confidential group who will intercede on a regular basis.

We are serious about prayer and send out an updated list most weeks to those in the small group.

We believe that God hears our prayers and that he answers them. Sometimes we get wonderful answers to prayer and sometimes it feels as if God has not heard us. This we don’t fully understand but we have seen enough to know that prayer makes a difference!

Updates are always gratefully received whatever their nature.

If you have any prayer requests please do contact us by using the anonymous contact form below.

Home Groups DSCN2572 with M&M inserted-005

At this moment in time, we have several home groups.  These have been formed over a period of years and offer a wide variety of experiences.

They meet on differing days and times and with varying degrees of regularity.

They all give a mixture of learning and fellowship.  Some are more experience based and others more factual, but none are threatening.  Their numbers vary too, but there is room to join some.

If you need more information on any of the groups, please speak to a member of the Clergy.

Revival Group (20s-30s)

‘Revival’ is a 20’s-30’s group for people seeking to develop their faith in God and to fellowship with each other.

The name ‘Revival’ is a reflection of the purpose of this group, which is to rekindle a passion to know the Lord more as Saviour and to be a more effective witness to others. By meeting together we will strengthen and encourage one another.  We will have informal worship times, Bible study, fellowship, prayer and socials to develop our friendships.

This group is based at St Mary Magdalene Church in Taunton and is open to anyone in the 20’s – 30’s age group, who is interested in developing their faith and meeting with people at a similar stage in life.

We meet for informal bible study on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7.30pm in the Vicarage next to St Mary Magdalene church in the centre of town (the entrance to the Vicarage is to the left of the large white doors as you walk past the church to Canon Street car park).

We generally start with a chat over a cup of tea, followed by the study and a short time of prayers, usually finishing by 9.00pm.

Parents and Toddlers Group

The Parents and Toddlers Group meet every Friday morning in the Upper Room at St Mary’s from 10.00am to 12noon for play, craft work, fellowship, snacks & singing.

Tekna (Junior Church & Crèche)

The name Tekna comes from the Greek word for children.

We meet each Sunday morning in church where the children join the congregation at the start of the 10am service.

After a welcome talk, they go to the upper room where they have various activities planned for them. The children are welcomed back for the communion and the blessing at the end of the service.

Children up to 11 years of age are very welcome.
